  • Be careful of how your camcorder handles progressive filming.

Progressive mode in your camcorder is not the full vertical resolution of interlaced mode, and it is 30 Frames per second instead of 60 fields per second so there is a 'loss' of temporal information.
A 'true' progressive camcorder would not lose any vertical resolution but would still lose some temporal information -- for many subjects the loss of temporal information would be visually insignificant.
